Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu
Bismillahirrahmanir rahim
Beloved Muslimin and Muslimah,
God Almighty said in his glorious Qur’an:
“The first house (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakkah:
full of blessing and of guidance for all the worlds. In it are signs
manifest: the station of Abraham – whoever enters it attains
security, and pilgrimage there to is a duty men owe to God – those
who can afford the journey: but if any deny faith, God stands not in
need of any of his creatures.” ( surat al-imran, 96-97 )
and said also:
“For hajj are the months well known if any one undertakes that duty
therein, let there be no obscenity, nor wickedness, nor wrangling in
the hajj. And whatever good ye do, (be sure) God knoweth it. And
take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best of
provisions is right conduct. So fear me, o ye that are wise.” (
surat al-baqarah, 197)
and said also:
“Remember Abraham said: ‘O my Lord! Make this city one of peace and
security: and preserve me and my sons from worshipping idols. O my
Lord! They have indeed led astray many among mankind: he then who
follows my (ways) is of me, and he that disobeys me, – but Thou art
indeed oft-forgiving, most merciful. O our Lord! I have made some of
my offspring to dwell in a valley without cultivation, by thy sacred
house: in order, O our Lord! that they may establish regular
prayer: so fill the hearts of some among men with love towards them,
and feed them with fruits: so that they may give thanks.'” (surat
ibrahim, 35-38)
Praise be to God for His great generosity and kindness, and God’s
blessings and peace be on the seal of prophets and messengers, our
Prophet Muhammad, and on members of his house, his companions and
those who follow his path till the day of final judgment.
Allah (S.W.T.) says to the believers in surat Al-Ma’idah, (Verse 3),
what can be translated as, “This day I have perfected your deen for
you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as
your Deen.”
On this blessed day, let us celebrate Eidul Adha with a sense of
gratitude and humility as we glorify Allah SWT through our takbir,
tahmid and through performing the ibadah

The Islamic world is required today to hasten to unify its word and
surmount its differences, through friendly means, in order to be
able to defend its just causes and sacred places. We also call upon
Muslim thinkers, scholars and media men to make strong efforts to
propagate Islamic culture and infuse its principles in the minds of
Muslims, in order for the Islamic world to consolidate its internal
front, preserve its identity, and be always prepared to confront the
challenges that surround us.
