LADO’s mission is to promote Islam among the Latino community within the United States. We provide scholarships, grants, and services that further our mission. Our vision is Muslims in every community.

We establish scholarships to support the education of future Latino Muslim imams and scholars. Our aim is to empower aspiring individuals to achieve their educational aspirations, ultimately fostering leadership within the Muslim community. These scholarships are designed to alleviate the financial burden of higher education for recipients, distinguishing them from traditional student loans as they do not require repayment. 

Additionally, we contribute grants to facilitate the development and expansion of Latino Muslim organizations. These grants are intended to fortify and enhance the capabilities of these organizations, thereby promoting growth and community advancement. Funding provided through grants is directed towards specific activities, ventures, charities, or facilities undertaken by the recipient organization. 

We offer services aimed at inspiring and empowering the Latino Muslim community. Our mission involves educating Americans about the beauty of Islam, highlighting the growing presence of Latino Muslims, and exploring the historical legacy of Islam in Spain, the Americas, and worldwide. Through an active social media presence, we share ideas, noteworthy news, upcoming events, and the progress of Latino Muslims across the United States.

In addition, we create and distribute unique publications catering to the interests of the Latino Muslim community. Our goal is to foster a sense of unity among Muslim converts, encouraging them to establish and sustain meaningful friendships, promote personal growth (tarbiyah), and extend invitations to others to learn about Islam (dawah).

Furthermore, we actively cultivate alliances with both local and national Muslim organizations, with a strong emphasis on facilitating local community engagement and action.
